Extremely loooong post…
So I think it’s better for those who intends to read the following post to:
1) Go to the bathroom first
2) Grab some snacks and water
3) Turn on the fan or air-con
Ok… Now here goes…
Well, this post actually took me about 2 days to materialize it, so many things to write about and to gather the photos needed.
Eh, okok, I’ve officially become a traitor to S.H.E and switch my sides to the Wonder Girls.
Astonishing? Shocked? Disbelieve?
Hmm, not actually, since the 3 girls are always “soooo” busy with their promotional work in China, they totally forgot about the fans abroad. Anyway, who wants to come to our little island to promote when it’s not cost-effective, haha!
Ok, back to Wonder Girls… 5 girls from Korean, all with their own unique styles…
Reasons as to why I am so taken in by them:
1) They don’t 扭扭捏捏 whilst on TV programs at all, from what we observe (my couz included). The Korean artistes present their real self and lifes to the TV. Not like those in Chinese pop artistes who appear like gentlemen and proper ladies before their fans, and become ah bengs and ah lians behind scenes.
2) Koreans in general adhere very strictly to their hierarchy system. Anyone older than them by 1 day, they’ll greet them by adding “Oppa” (elder brother)for guys and “Unnie” (elder sister) for girls. We don’t see that in any Chinese society anywhere. It was really kind of weird for me to call my band seniors directly by their names, when I was in Sec 1 and them in Sec 4. But wait a minute, this behavior from the Koreans actually stem out from Confucius teachings, so how come we as Chinese have abandon this practice? >_<
3) What I’m going to say may really offend some avid Chinese pop fans out there, but I have given up on the Chinese pop music some time ago, esp after S.H.E released their crappy album, FM S.H.E. What the hell was with that shitty arrangement of their songs? Where is the sincerity and 用心 that I expected to hear? If you listen to the Korean songs’ background music, you’ll find at least 4 different layers of rhythms stacked on top of 1 another. Chinese pop? You’ll be lucky to find 3 layers, haiz…
Hmm, time for some crazy girls ogling time… (please skip if you hate/dislike the Wonder girls or you can’t be bothered…)
1) So Hee
The youngest member of WG, only 17! (^_^)
She has that ever-so-cute mandu (dumpling) face whom I think everyone will wanna pamper/care for her. Yah, I’ll rank her with Yubin alongside as my favourite girls in WG =P
2) Yu Bin
The oldest member and hot “mama” of the WG. Is an introvert despite her appearance and she is apparently quite girly, lol! The rapper for WG, and seldom sings in their songs.
3) Sun Ye
The leader of WG. I think their CEO really made a good choice in appointing her as the leader; can be clearly seen from the variety shows that she always do her best to shield the 2 younger members from any “danger” and her ability to be the spokesperson as well. Kt’s favourite girl in WG =P Prettiest I must say =D
4) Ye Eun
Hmm, the WG who looks like Selina, lol! Has a guy’s personality beside her girly’s looks, or I should quote what 1 of the variety show host describe as “Best personality”. Has a power vocal, making her and Sun Ye the power house of WG. (excluding Yu Bin as she’s always doing the rap)
5) Sun Mi
The cranky girl or 4D girl. 4D meaning 4th dimension. We’re living in the 3rd dimension and she’s in the 4th. Ok, what’s with that description? Eh, she’s always living in her own world, talking to herself and always saying stuffs that will make people >_<”
Anyway, she’s only 17, so quite understandable right? LOL!
Eh, now I shall say why this WG idol saga is doing me some good: (please ignore my ability to 自圆其说 =P)
1) I am so stuffing myself with fresh vegetables and fruits for my health, cos So Hee is a health freak.
2) Avoiding cold and fizzy drinks (ice cream not included ^o^) for the same reason as above.
3) Going to the gym every Wed, Fri and Sat. Looking at how fit the girls are, I really 自叹不如. Though I think it’s not fair to compare me with them since they practice their dance everyday and which makes them so fit.
4) Sleeping earlier… For my health too lah, though I think this is only possible after I finish watching their videos that I downloaded earlier, oopz =P
5) Makes me feel so alive somehow, with a sudden injection of adrenaline to my usual monotones life. Usually it’s just “Hah… Hah… Hah… Hah… Staying Alive… Staying Alive…”, now it’s “I like to Move it Move it… She likes to Move it Move it… We like to… Move it!!!” =]
6) Interest in getting myself dressed up! Not getting younger already, so must 把握 the chance of dolling myself up. Eh, I don’t mean that I’ll be dressing up in what those ah lians do nowadays, but maybe something refreshing for a change. I think Kt really quite 可怜 to always see me in my usual tees and jeans on Sat lor, haha! =p
Ok lah, really reach the point where I don’t know what to say already…
Well, I think I just to reassure Kt that I’m no turning into a lesbian by the way…
I think it’s my admiration for them to be able to sing/dance so well in a group and perhaps 我真的很向往 the kind of bond they have between them… =]
